What are the Emerald Cups?

• The Emerald Cups are a fun, competitive, handicapped event with a match play/single elimination format for singles and doubles. This tourney is our own version of the Ryder Cup.

• Divisions: Singles, Doubles, Senior Singles & Senior Doubles

• Board approved $600 of additional prize money again this year. The payouts were huge last year and will trump your best night at Treasure Island!

• We will assist pairing doubles teams if you need a partner. The tournament is typically one match per month (June-Sept if you win). Plan your own matches to fit your schedule.

• Sign-up at:  https://app.primesignup.com/emerald-greens-men-s-club and click on the Emerald Cup Boxes for the Divisions you will enter

  • or text Bob Smith at 651-724-0590 or email at bsmithg@gmail.com and Bob will answer questions and can enter you into the Emerald Cups stress free.

• Deadline: May 27.

• Entry Fee: 

  • $30 per event per participant ($30 singles, $60 doubles). The Men's Club Board approved $600 of additional prize money again this year. The payouts were huge last year and will trump your best night at Treasure Island!

  • Payment: 

    • Insert your entry fee (cash or check) in an envelope labeled “Emerald Cups” including your name/team into the drop box/safe at the clubhouse ($30 for singles events, $60 for a doubles). Steve Retzlaff or Bob Smith will collect the envelopes from the drop box or in person on league nights.

• Eligibility/ Rules/Things to Know 

  • Men’s Club Member in good standing

  • Senior Divisions-55 years of age or older as of December 31, 2025

  • Gold or white tee boxes can be used for seniors, white tee boxes only for singles and doubles.

• GHIN handicaps will be used.

• Brackets and rules will be distributed to the entrants late May.
